Five Misconceptions People Have About Cancer

Dr. Mark Liponis, author of “Ultra-longevity” and medical director of Canyon Ranch spas, gives a stunning observation about the disease cancer. I thought you might like to know some of the common misconceptions that he learned from his own experience with cancer. When you finish reading this short but important list, I’m confident you will be very glad you know about Kangen™ water.

Misconception No. 1: Doctors are special – Because Dr. Liponis was a doctor, he felt he was invincible, but he learned doctors can get sick like everybody else. He was diagnosed with an apple-sized tumor in his left kidney. Ironically, he felt fine and didn’t feel sick in any way.

Misconception No. 2: People with cancer always feel sick – With every little twitch or twinge he felt it must be the cancer. It wasn’t. His biggest new symptom wasn’t feeling bad, however, it was that he couldn’t sleep. His primary concern was curing his cancer.

Misconception No. 3: Cancer grows and spreads rapidly – Dr. Liponis was shocked by an answer to a big question, how long had the tumor been growing? The answer, 15 years. After doing the math, Dr. Liponis determined he had contracted this cancer when he was 21 years old.

Misconception No. 4: Cancer is uncommon in young people – A tumor at 21 years of age isn’t the exception. It is the rule. Cancer has its roots in youth. He says that essentially we are all “cancer survivors.” Mutations in the DNA of any of our cells occur constantly in all of us. New cancer cells, or potential cancer cells, are a common occurrence even in young adults. In reality these microscopic cancer cells almost never become lethal tumors because we count on our immune system to detect them early and snuff them out before they grow. Only cancer cells that aren’t thwarted by the immune system and develop their own blood supply put us at risk for full-blown cancer.

Misconception No. 5: You can cure cancer only with surgery, chemotherapy or radiation – Standard medical treatment is just one part of fighting cancer. A healthy diet, exercise, proper sleep, stress management, smoking cessation and moderation of habits are critical steps to take during a treatment and healing process. These are good prevention habits, too. They are actually the most effective ways of keeping microscopic cancer cells from growing into serious tumors.¹

This is a mantra for alkaline water…specifically, hexagonal alkaline water. When your life depends on your immune system, there can be no better immune builder than hexagonal alkaline water and its ability to penetrate more efficiently than anything else the interstitial tissue that is critical for healthy cell building and functioning. Isn’t it time for you to be drinking Kangen™?
